The results of the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) have confirmed that Sheffield Hallam is one of the best universities in the UK for research in social and economic regeneration, housing and labour market analysis. Members of URS contributed to the submission in the Town Planning Unit of Assessment (UoA), together with our associated research centre, the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research, and this was rated as world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour.
We also work closely with other research centres
- Centre for Education and Inclusion Research (CEIR)
- research in young people, equalities and lifelong learning - Built Environment Research Group
- research in the architecture, construction and property fields
