Work placements
Taking on a placement student is a great, cost-effective way for your business to tap into our resources and expertise. An undergraduate placement student will usually be with you for between 36 and 48 weeks, starting between June and September, and tend to take place following a student's second year of study.

Graduate recruitment
Our graduates offer a valuable opportunity for employers looking to recruit new members of staff. Our Careers and Employment Service can offer a tailored approach to meeting your recruitment needs. You can advertise your vacancies to our students, exhibit at our recruitment fairs and even use our facilities to hold interviews.

Internships
Could your business benefit from a short-term additional member of staff? We have final year undergraduate business, marketing and HR students looking for work experience opportunities. They'll normally be with you for a period of up to 30 days between June and April each year.

Short-term projects
If there's a critical or strategic project in your office that needs additional resource or expertise to get it off the ground, our pool of specially selected students can help, supported by an expert academic.
We will create a bespoke team who have the relevant expertise for your project, usually including a student or graduate, a specialist academic member of staff, and a professional project manager.

Longer term strategic projects
If you have a strategic business challenge requiring a dedicated resource for a longer period (between six months and three years), we can help you access our knowledge via the government-backed knowledge transfer partnership (KTP) scheme.

Curriculum-based projects
Many of our courses incorporate project work where a group of students undertake a back-burner project on behalf of a company. This can involve investigating product processes, developing business or marketing, and designing and implementing websites and other IT systems.
