Language provision at Sheffield Hallam University includes two state-of-the-art digital language laboratories for teaching.
We have a Multimedia Language Learning Resources Centre with digital lab facilities, Internet access, satellite TV, and a wide range of graded self-study materials in analogue and digital form.
As well as tuition from your tutor, you get the opportunity for extra conversation practice with a foreign language assistant. Students are also encouraged to join the Tandem Learning Scheme, where you are paired with a native speaker of the language you are studying.
We have specialist software for interpreting practice and recording oral work, and interactive learning activities at stages one and two of the University Language Scheme.
