Maria Scheule 
Maria was born in Germany and moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland to study English Literature and Language. After completing her studies, she moved to England with her husband where she decided she wanted to teach. She went on to study her PGCE at Sheffield and later completed her teacher training in french and german.
She began teaching at Sheffield Hallam 12 years ago. Her main area is teaching International Business and German, although she has also been involved in events management degrees over the past 2 years. She is responsible for student work placements in Germany and is also involved in widening participation.
Maria is the representative for Sheffield Hallam University in the Yorkshire and Humber consortium for routes into languages, a national project which encourages pupils to study languages in secondary school.
