Profile
Emma joined Sheffield Hallam in 2002 after completing her doctorate exploring the employment relationship in small hospitality firms at Nottingham University Business School. She teaches in the areas of human resource management and organisational behaviour from HND to doctoral level. Since joining the hospitality subject group she has worked as the course leader for the MSc in International Hospitality Management and the MSc International Conference Management.
Emma is currently the programme leader for postgraduate courses in hospitality, tourism, events and food at Sheffield Hallam and a member of the Council for Hospitality Management Education research executive. She has been part of the judging team for the British Institute of Inn Keeping, National Training Awards in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and recently acted as an academic advisor HE Skills Academy project on 'Careers in Hospitality, Retail and Sport'.
