Professor Derek Hall
Derek is the leading tourism academic in relation to Eastern Europe, the former Soviet bloc states, and recent EU accession states. He is semi-retired but remains a prolific writer and is a visiting professor in Finland.
Bernard Lane
Bernard is a highly respected figure in the tourism world through his work in sustainable and rural tourism. He also co-edits the Journal of Sustainable Tourism with Professor Bill Bramwell.
Geoffrey Manyara
Geoffrey is currently based in the UK at UWIC, but he is also the chief executive of the newly formed Institute of Tourism Management East Africa based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Dr Greg Richards
Greg works for a tourism research and marketing organisation in Barcelona. He is a prolific writer and has recently published a best selling volume on medical tourism.
Dick Sisman
Dick is one of the leading experts on the environmental impacts of tourism worldwide. He is the founder of Green Flag International and Green Globe. Dick has his own consultancy firm and undertakes projects for major names in the UK tourism industry and has high level contacts in agencies such as UNESCO and UNEP as well as ministerial level contacts in a number of governments. Dick is also leading the Tourism Industry Carbon Offset Scheme (TICOS).
Brian Wheeller
Brian, who is associated with NHTV Breda in the Netherlands, is a renowned researcher, famous for his challenging thinking on sustainable tourism and ecotourism. He regularly visits us to deliver guest lectures.
Professor Tiger Wu
Tiger is head of the tourism research centre at the highly prestigious Beijing University. He is also a visiting professor at Shanghai East Normal University which focuses on training and education.
