A senior lecturer in property and facilities management, Jill has a BSc Urban Land Economics with first class honours and an MA in Learning and Teaching. She is also a member of the British Institute of Facilities Management and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Jill has worked at Sheffield Hallam since 1998, previously as the course leader for both the undergraduate and postgraduate facilities management programme areas. As a result of her work, in 2007 Jill was voted as one of the top 20 most influential women in facilities management, in an initiative launched by Facilities Management World and sponsored by Michael Page.
Jill's applied research and consultancy has been in the field of strategic space planning and property management. She has also engaged in research which reflects her passion for developing meaningful career pathways for property and facilities management, supporting learners and practitioners to form a reflective approach to their professional development. Jill has enjoyed sharing her experiences of this work at conferences and through the development of learning materials.
Jill has been announced as the new course leader for MSc Real Estate.
