Graduate Centre
Sheffield Business School's Graduate Centre is a vibrant community of research students, academics and support staff.
At the Graduate Centre we believe the relationships you build within our community play a key role in developing your research degree. Our reputation for excellence is recognised by the Economic Social Research Council (ESRC), acknowledging the high quality research training we provide and the support we offer our PhD students.
We can support a variety of research degrees (PhDs and MPhils) in business and management and also offer the Doctorate Business Administration (DBA) programme which focuses on organisation and management. The DBA allows senior managers and professionals to make a difference to the way that management and professional practice is developed.
The DBA programme is designed for those who are enthusiastic about learning, and want the opportunity to become a recognised contributor to management thinking and advanced professional practice.
We have five dedicated research centres within the Business School. These are
- Centre for Facilities Management Development
- Centre for Food Innovation
- Centre for Individual and Organisational Development
- Centre for Tourism, Hospitality and Events Research
We can offer research opportunities within a number of disciplines within organisation, business and management. Here are some examples of recently completed research degrees titles. As part of our research training, we also offer the MRes Social Sciences Programme.
