Profile
John is a professor of management accounting education. He has worked extensively with accounting professional bodies, and in 1998 this work was recognised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants when they awarded him the title 'CIMA Education Advisor' for his underpinning research for the 'Beyond 2000' initiative. His involvement was of great significance for CIMA - it underpinned the realignment of the assessment policies and structure of the professional qualification.
He has published extensively in both professional and referred journals on accounting education. Specific interests include financial literacy, and the development of vocational skills.
John has served as a Member of Council for both CIMA and the Association of Accounting Technicians. He is currently CIMA's academic and technical consultant.
