Profile

Neil Fletcher is a chartered accountant and holds a first degree in mathematics. Prior to becoming a senior lecturer at Sheffield Hallam, he held a variety of progressively more senior roles in financial management within the South Yorkshire marketplace.

His interest in corporate governance was ignited whilst he was the finance director of Manor and Castle Development Trust Ltd, a £10+ million third sector organisation.

As a corporate finance consultant working for PKF, one of the UK's leading accounting firms, he advised and was involved in a variety of sophisticated financial transactions. His particular expertise being the creation and review of the financial models used to explore potential outcomes of a business decision or transaction.

Feedback on his work includes comments such as, 'he explained some very difficult and complicated financial ideas in a way that I could explain', 'his analysis is independent, analytical and rigorous', and, 'he created and tested a financial model that I could not have developed - even with all my experience'.
