Profile
Through his research, consultancy and policy development work in international trade, innovation and entrepreneurship, Robin has made a major contribution to regional policy development and business support. He also has considerable experience of consulting and training with multinationals around the world, including IBM, Microsoft, Astra Zeneca, Renault Nissan, Huawei, and Batelco as well as being an examiner and course director for the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He is the joint author of several best selling texts in international marketing, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Robin has developed a strong regional presence on behalf of Sheffield Hallam University and during the last six months as Director of CIOD Robin has played a key role in securing over £8 million funding for cross faculty projects including Innovation Futures, Innovation Leaders and the HEFC Economic Challenge Investment Fund. These projects provide opportunities for collaboration with organisations to carry out research, knowledge transfer, leadership and management development as part of large, multidisciplinary projects.
Robin's priorities are to develop CIOD's communities of academics, associates, students and practitioners by building research and knowledge transfer in business and management.
