Research interests/current work
A creativity consultant with over 20 years' experience in individual, team and organisation development, Vivien has developed a range of creative techniques which are interesting, enjoyable and often reveal different information from writing or talking.
These techniques include situational modelling, drawing metaphor, working with clay, creating masks, human sculpture and analysis using rhythms.
Vivien's clients are from both the public and private sectors, and have included BP Exploration, Peak National Park, Asian Development Bank.
She is continually developing her practice and is currently studying part-time for a PhD at Loughborough University, exploring the processes of creativity.
Research collaborations
Vivien is currently undertaking research with Lis Merrick into 'Going Beyond'. This research focuses on the dissatisfaction of many mid-career professionals who have a growing desire to do something different.
Vivien and Lis are developing an 'Aspirations Audit' which will assist people to clarify their desires and a model for 'Promoting Positive Persona' for individuals embarking on a new career.
