Profile

Xiaohong Li is a senior lecturer at the Sheffield Business School, part of Sheffield Hallam University. She joined the University as a full time lecturer in February 2002 and continues her research. She successfully completed a consultancy project for the public sector of States of Guernsey, by developing and applying an economic modelling approach to construction workload planning. She worked as a research fellow on a Leverhulme funded project on UK manufacturing companies' survival at the University of Luton for two and half year before she joined Sheffield Hallam.

She obtained her BSc at Chongqing University, China in 1988. Afterwards, she had worked as a budget planner for a large manufacturing company for five years. She gained a scholarship to become a visiting student at Lancaster University in 1993. She achieved her PhD on UK manufacturing company performance and practices at the University of Luton in 1999.
