The new Centre for International Tourism Research (CITouR) based at Sheffield Hallam University focuses on research, consultancy and training that makes a real difference to communities, tourists and people working in the tourism industry
The centre has key research and consultancy strengths in the areas of: tourism policy and planning which ensures that communities benefit from tourism development, sustainable tourist destination management, marketing strategy development for the tourism industry and tourist behaviour, identities and social equity in tourism participation to name a few.
Already one of the largest and most renowned centres of tourism research and education in Europe, CITouR aims to continue to grow and develop its global reputation as a centre of excellence.
Centre for International Hospitality Management Research (CIHMR)
The CIHMR is one of only a handful of research centres in the UK working in the hospitality area and is exclusively dedicated to hospitality management and the hospitality industry.
The Centre is recognised both internationally and nationally and builds upon the expertise, and past achievements, of academic staff and researchers in international hospitality management research.
Carrying out technical projects and providing training to meet the needs of the food industry. Our services include training courses, sensory evaluation and texture analysis, food product and process development, food quality control and assurance, food marketing and strategic management.
