Deciding to go to university is a big step for any potential student. Sheffield Business School can support school and college leavers through this process via a well established programme of outreach events.

- Interactive 'Taster' days for school pupils between Years 9 - 13 linked to faculty course provision in business, hospitality, tourism, marketing, food nutrition or events management. Available throughout the academic year.
- Annual language awareness event, 'Language Works!' held each January for Year 9 pupils aimed at encouraging pupils to continue language study beyond GCSE Languages at Sheffield Hallam
- Adult Access to HE days for mature learners on access courses
- 'Top-Up' routes in to higher education. An event for students currently studying HND or Foundation degree programmes who want to find out more about 'topping-up' to a degree qualification in a subject aligned to faculty provision
- Vocational Pathways to higher education. For students in Years12 and 13 studying vocational, level 3 business programmes. 3 linked visits with regional colleges to enable students to find out more about our faculty and life as a Hallam student
