Accessible Assessments - Staff Guide to Inclusive Practice

 home

The aim of this website is to give practical support to academic staff in the design and delivery of inclusive academic assessments.

To enable you to find relevant information easily the site is divided up into sections under a series of question headings:

The content of the site is designed so you can focus on the assessment modes you are most interested in, or already use in your current practice. You can work on line through the interactive content or print off selected material. At the end of each section there is a 'Jot box' page, which opens in Microsoft Word. You can use this facility to write and print off your own set of reference notes.

There is also a section entitled Further resources. This contains information on the Disability Discrimination Act Part IV and Disability Equality Duty, as well as further reading and reference to language, the Social Model of Disability and Disability Studies Modules available at Sheffield Hallam University.
