Library resources

The learning centres have excellent collections of library resources to support study at the university
- books, journals and other print materials
- electronic information resources including databases, e-journals, and e-books
- media resources including video, DVD, images, and TV
Our Library Gateway is the route in to all of our library resources. It brings together all the different search tools you might use to navigate our physical and electronic library resources, and explains what each can best be used for. View the resources available in your subject area and search free resources even before you join us as a student. Many of the electronic library resources are accessible wherever you are working.
We have a wide range of e-books and a collection of recommended key texts which are reference only, so you should always be able to access the books you need for your course. You may want to buy copies of core texts that you will need to refer to regularly.
You'll get training to develop information literacy and other key skills, in the form of face to face training sessions, self paced tutorials and online learning resources.
You can get expert help and advice in using the full range of resources to support your studies whether you are working on or off campus.
Specialist services and support are in place for students with particular needs, including the well-established distance learner support service and services for disabled students.
