Distance learner support service
The Distance Learner Support Service (DLSS) ensures that students studying on designated distance learning courses have access to library resources and support if they're unable to travel to Sheffield visit the learning centres.
A dedicated team helps those students by offering
- postal book loans (within the UK and Ireland)
- journal articles or chapters of books that are unavailable electronically (copyright permitting)
- support and advice on library matters, plus referral to specialist advice
- help with accessing other university libraries
All students have access to a wide range of electronic resources, wherever they are studying, via shuspace (our student portal).
