First contact appointments
All students who contact our service will be offered the opportunity to have a 30 minute bookable on-the-day appointment with a qualified advisor.
Our advisor team draw upon a wealth of skills and experience from mental health or counselling backgrounds.
Following these appointments, wellbeing advisors can then offer an individualised package of follow-up support which may include
- individual appointments
- self-help materials and online resources
- e-counselling
- workshops
We also work closely with statutory bodies and external agencies to signpost students accordingly.

Student wellbeing can link you to external services such as NHS Sheffield, Sheffield Mind and the Samaritans.
