Sheffield is the greenest city in the UK

One of Sheffield's many parks

As the greenest city in England you're never far from one of more than 200 parks, woodlands or gardens. Don't miss the beautifully restored Victorian Botanical Gardens, the dramatic Winter Garden in the city centre and peaceful riverside walks.

Many of Sheffield’s parks and woodlands form part of the city’s walking trails. Ecclesall Woods, one of the largest single areas of ancient woodland in an urban environment, and Endcliffe Park form part of the Sheffield Round Walk, a unique 14 mile route through picturesque south west Sheffield.

Graves Park and Animal Farm and the Shepherd Wheel in Whiteley Woods are other points of interest. Even in the city centre there are green spaces. Devonshire Green is a perfect place to relax on a warm day.
