About the gallery
The Sheffield Institute of Arts Gallery is a professional, distinctive setting for high quality temporary exhibitions. It supports the Institute's research and teaching through showcasing the very best in creative practice.
We offer a programme of changing exhibitions, ranging from historic graphic design to contemporary fine art.
We host projects originating within the University, bring exciting touring exhibitions to Sheffield, and offer individuals and organisations the chance to develop their own proposals in collaboration with us.
Admission
Admission is free.
Opening times
During exhibitions, the gallery is open 10am–5pm Monday–Sunday, and until 8pm on Wednesdays.
Outside business hours you may be asked to sign in to the building.
We are closed on public holidays, and on other dates when the University is closed.
School visits
We welcome visits from schools and colleges and we can offer a range of activities. Please contact us for more information.
