Josh's story
'The thing I love most about sport is the unknown. It keeps you on your toes. Like last year, I went on a placement for eight weeks in Tanzania, working at an East African nations' sports tournament for young people. I had to adapt to a different culture. It was coaching 200 kids with two footballs. I lived in a house with two hours of electricity a day and cold showers. Every day we'd get up at 6am, ride a motorbike two miles down a dirt track, then squeeze into a minibus crammed with people to travel to the tournament. It was amazing.
This year, I worked Olympic stadium interviewing the athletes at this year's Olympics for the official press release. Most of my time was spent just behind the BBC's Phil Jones [who was interviewing the athletes at the side of the track after their races], so I had one of the best views in the stadium!
I got to meet some incredible athletes and seeing Mo Farah win his second gold medal was a real highlight. I just can’t put into words what the atmosphere was like when he collected his medal.'
