Partnerships
We work with regional, national and international sport organisations to provide cutting-edge sport education, world-class research and market-leading commercial services, which benefits the sporting world.
Our partnerships offer students unique opportunities to gain the experience they need to succeed in the sport industry. They also ensure our students have access to world-class sport facilities, right here in Sheffield.
For example, we're the only university to have had student volunteering agreements with the organising committees of the Beijing Olympics, the Delhi Commonwealth Games and the London Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Over 200 of our students were placed at London 2012 as trained Games Makers, and we are already working on similar arrangements for Brazil 2016.
Every one of our sport students gains real world experience through an industry placement during the second year of study.
