The co-operation between Sport Hallam and local teams helps to ensure Sheffield Hallam athletes have the opportunity to compete at the highest levels
National Performance Centres
Sheffield Hallam University has been allocated as a National Performance Centre (NPC) for hockey and orienteering. The University has been selected by the National Governing Body of each of these sports to support the delivery of key performance objectives.
NPCs are essential in providing aspiring international athletes with high quality coaching alongside specific strength and conditioning programmes in excellent training facilities. The University also provides support to athletes with physiotherapy, lifestyle and medical support and the development of their academic qualifications.
Sheffield Hallam University is also a host institution for England Volleyball Men and Women's Development Squads and continues to offer support to many athletes that are competing at the highest level in their sport.
