  • Sheffield Enterprise Programme aims to boost local enterprise by encouraging business start up and supporting sustainable growth, in order to increase the success rate of locally-owned businesses in Sheffield.
  • Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a useful contact to provide information on conferences, exhibitions, registers, publications, training and legal advice. Our students are eligible for student membership, please contact the Enterprise Centre for further information.
  • SENTA - Sheffield Enterprise Agency offers professional range of services includes ongoing one-to-one counselling sessions with approved business advisors, an approved business skills training programme, tailored workshops and seminars, and two years continued aftercare for your new business.

  • The Graduate Entrepreneurship Project is an award winning partnership of ten Yorkshire universities. The project's website has information about forthcoming events aimed at start-ups across Yorkshire, case studies of successful entrepreneurs, and a forum where you can post questions and chat to other graduates who are considering starting a business.
  • National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship (NCGE) was formed in 2004 with the aim of raising the profile of entrepreneurship and the option of starting your own business as a career choice amongst students and graduates.   • Startups.co.uk - inspiring new businesses. An online magazine and information resource for new businesses, including a specialist section on owning a franchise.
  • Shell Live Wire helps 16-30 year olds start and develop their own business, gain experience of working within start-up businesses and also hosts national business competition Shell Step.
  • The Princes Trust is a UK charity which helps young people to overcome barriers in their life. The Prices Trust can provide help and funding to certain types of start-up business.
  • VentureNavigator, a 24/7 online business support service which provides a free and impartial online service for businesses and entrepreneurs who are ready to grow their companies or develop their ideas.
