The way you learn is different at university. You're expected to study on your own much more than you might be used to, so we provide you with all the guidance and support you need to adjust. We offer drop-in study practice sessions, study support podcasts, exam preparation support, and extra tutoring.
Use our state-of-the-art facilities
Our learning centres, with free Wi-Fi, are open 24 hours a day during term time - so we're ready to work whenever you are.
We have some of the most advanced teaching facilities in the country. From engineering laboratories to photography studios, you'll gain valuable experience of handling the equipment used in the workplace. For example, we've got a fully equipped mock operating theatre and even a flight simulator for our aerospace students.

Learn a language
Our University Language Scheme offers the opportunity to learn a new foreign language from scratch or to continue a language studied at GCSE or A level. You may be able to study this as part of your course or alongside it. Choose from French, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.
