Continuation Masters programme
We offer a one year full-time programme designed for students from TAR College who gain Sheffield Hallam University degrees on the Summer Semester Programme or Progression Degree programme. These courses start in September, although a January start is also possible on some courses.
Please note - if you are planning to attend a Masters programme your offer is subject to visa requirements. You must take up your place at the specified time. Information on working in the UK during your period of study can be found on the Government website www.workingintheuk.gov.uk.
Scholarship
Sheffield Hallam University offers TAR College students a special discount which reduces fees on the Continuation Masters programme.
The scheme is intended to encourage and facilitate progression to postgraduate study for TARC students who have achieve a SHU honours degree.
Tuition fees
From 2007/08, students will benefit from a 30 per cent discount on the published international fee under this scheme.
The 30% discount may not be combined with any other fees discounts or offer.
Eligibility criteria for the academic session 2007/08 and beyond
The scheme is open to students who
- Hold a relevant TARC Advanced Diploma and
- Complete the Summer Semester Honours Degree Programme at Sheffield Hallam University and graduate with an honours degree (regardless of year of graduation)
or
- Hold a relevant TARC Diploma and
- Complete a further two years of study at Sheffield Hallam University and graduate with an honours degree (regardless of year of graduation)
To qualify for the 30 per cent discounted fee, students must
- meet the requirements above
- meet the entry criteria including any English language requirement for the course and be accepted for admission to the relevant postgraduate programme.
- be self funding
This scheme applies to all one year, full time taught postgraduate courses in Faculties offering summer semester top-up provision.
Payment of Fees and Deposits
Students who join postgraduate courses under this scheme will not be required to pay a deposit but will be required to pay 50 per cent of your tuition fees before or at enrolment.
