Tomorrow's Scientist
Jonathan
Undergraduate
'Ey up! I'm Jonathan.
'I'm currently studying a chemistry degree and have just finished a year in industry as a research scientist at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies.
'My path to science, for lack of a better phrase, wasn't as straightforward as it should have been. From growing up on a working class council estate employed in a fish factory to working as a protein purification research scientist, it's been an interesting route.
'I also spend my time performing improvised comedy with The Antics in Sheffield, around the UK and at the Edinburgh festival, and acting in various amateur productions. I enjoy music, arts, radio, reading, and real ale.'
