Environmental management system - policies

The University understands that all of its activities impact on the environment and is committed to the following

  • minimising the negative impacts of its operations on the natural and social environment and aim for the highest standards of environmental management
  • fully integrate environmental management into all of its operations
  • review its environmental performance with its stakeholders to establish programmes of continuous improvement
  • increase the environmental awareness of all of its employees
  • assess in advance its business activities for their environmental impact
  • establish systems for the prevention of pollution at all of its operations
  • comply with all environmental legislation, regulation and codes of practice that are relevant to its business activities
  • report on its environmental performance to all interested parties
  • provide contributions to the sustainable development agenda both within and outside the sector
