Owen Building
Overview
The Owen Building is the main building at City Campus.
It provides learning facilities for the Faculty of Development and Society, the Sheffield Business School and the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
Teaching facilities include
- clinical and science laboratories
- academic kitchens
- studios
- audio visual edit suites
The lecture theatres in the building are
- Hallam Hall which is used for exam and conference purposes
- Peak Theatre
- Void – a purpose-built film lecture theatre combining new technology (including Blu-ray DVD through to an HD digital projector) with older equipment, (including two 40 year old Westrex 7000 35mm projectors to show a wide range of rare, culturally valuable films and historic film formats as well as more current films)
The catering outlets are
- Chef Hallam Central – the new 200 seater WiFi enabled restaurant
- Cutting Edge
- Heartspace Café
- Hallam View restaurant
The City Campus main reception is located at the main entrance of the Owen Building. It is staffed daily between 8am –9pm (Monday–Friday) and 9am–5pm (Saturday and Sunday).

Atrium
The Owen Building Atrium, located over five floors, has cafes, computers and meeting spaces for students to use.

Student services
The access to student services and the main staircase from the main entrance.
Chef Hallam Central
Located up the stairs from the main entrance Chef Hallam Central is the main catering outlet at City Campus and serves a wide range of both hot and cold food and drinks as well as snacks.
