The Mews Building
Overview
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) nominated Mews Building combines the original Victorian Mews building with a new-build extension providing a dedicated building in which to conduct teaching primarily for continuing professional development of healthcare professionals in the Faculty of Health and Wellbeing.
The building features three lecture theatres, a series of breakout areas, informal meeting spaces and incorporates a sustainable ‘green’ sedum roof. The build was constructed using sustainably sourced materials which compliment the natural stone, timber windows and pitched slate roofs of the adjacent Victorian villas. Event the outside furniture is made from recycled car tyres.
The nearest catering facility is Chef Hallam Millers at the Heart of the Campus.
