Information and advice for parents
For a parent or guardian, it can be difficult to understand how to provide the best support for your child when considering higher education - especially if you haven't been to university yourself. We support you through the process with a range of information designed for parents and guardians.
There are also opportunities for you to visit the University. Our general open days provide an opportunity for you to experience Sheffield and find out more about student life. Each open day provides access to the full range of subject and information talks, accommodation and campus tours, along with a specific parents' information stand where you can chat to parents or guardians who currently have a child at university. They'll share their experiences of going through the application process and getting their child settled into higher education.
