Studying international business provides you with the theoretical knowledge, practical understanding and skills required to pursue a variety of careers in international business or management in both large and small organisations. Based on the final year of the BA (Honours) International Business, it allows you to top up your current qualification to degree level.

How you learn
All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.
You study international business topics such as globalisation, multinational enterprises, cross-cultural management, international entrepreneurship, international strategy and global supply chains. You also study more general areas of business such as marketing, finance and organisational behaviour, and have the option to study a foreign language.

All students
Applicants normally need one from
• a business-related HND with an overall merit profile from year two modules or equivalent. Your qualification should include relevant international business related content in year one and year two
• 120 year one and 120 year two credits, with an overall mark of 55 per cent or above, from a relevant business degree or equivalent. Your qualification should include relevant international business related content in year one and year two

If English is not your first language you need an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, with a minimum score of 5.5 in each skill. If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.0 we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score.
We welcome applications from people of any age. There may be some flexibility in entry requirements provided you have other relevant learning or experience. This must show that you will benefit from and successfully finish the course.
Please note the University will only admit students who are aged 18 or over at the point of enrolment.

Home students
Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time undergraduate study in 2022/23 is £9,250 per year.
† If you are studying an undergraduate course, postgraduate pre-registration course or postgraduate research course over more than one academic year then your tuition fees may increase in subsequent years in line with Government regulations or UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) published fees.
