Digital technologies such as digital platforms, intelligent enterprise systems and enabling technologies dramatically transform nearly all organisations and industries. Private and public sectors are adopting holistic change efforts to capture the value and benefits of digital technologies to survive in their industries and/or be ahead of competitors. This course addresses digital transformation by exploring digital technologies and the latest enterprise system applications and the relevant implementation challenges, CSFs through case studies.

During this course, you'll explore how Information Systems/Information Technology enables operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness leading to business transformation.

You will have the opportunity to go on a work placement for up to 12 months, starting during the summer of your second year. You are supported in finding placements and can apply for a vacancy as you would a job. There are dedicated sessions to support you in CV writing, interview skills and job applications.
The teaching team make use of their research and industry connections to facilitate the inclusion of real world scenarios and case studies within the teaching materials of many of the modules.

You study at City Campus through a structured mix of lectures, seminars and practical sessions as well as access to digital and online resources to support your learning.

Equipment and facilities
On this course, you will work with:
- The latest Enterprise System application and business software including SAP S/4 HANA
- Modern IT equipment, labs and software
Normally you need
• a good honours degree which includes significant aspects of IT, typically 2.2 or above, from a UK university or equivalent from overseas university
We will also consider applicants do not meet these academic criteria but who have several years' experience in expert, managerial or senior IT roles. You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam. Find out more
Overseas applicants from countries whose first language is not English must normally produce evidence of competence in English. An IELTS score of 6.0 with 5.5 in all skills (or equivalent) is the standard for non-native speakers of English. If your English language skill is currently below an IELTS score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English level.

Fees and funding
Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time study in 2022/23 is £8,745 for the course without a placement. Or £9,945 with a placement.

Our tuition fee for International/EU students starting full-time study in 2022/23 is £14,895 for the course without work experience placement or £16,095 with work experience placement.
