Raising the profile of Further Education (FE) teaching as a career choice

This initiative has given final year undergraduates and postgraduate students the opportunity for a paid placement in an FE organisation, funded by the Education and Training Foundation. The overall aim of the scheme is to raise the profile of FE teaching as a potential career option for graduates, both by means of personal experience and hopefully word of mouth reports to peers.

The scheme has also brought a wide range of benefits for the participating students in terms of skills and knowledge, networking and mentoring opportunities, employability and more.

SIoE wishes to thank its contracted partners for their valuable work in facilitating the cooperation of local FE providers, and the recruitment of participating students to placement opportunities.
