London employability and networking trip
Wednesday 20 May 2015
Our second and final year BSc Real Estate students, along with the MSc Real Estate students, were recently taken to London on an employability themed trip, where we were hosted by leading property company DTZ. The students were introduced to the graduate recruitment process, followed by presentations from representatives within the valuation and global occupiers services teams, and a current graduate on ‘a day in the life of a surveyor’. This was followed by a tour of the new 67 acre city quarter to the north of King’s Cross station.
Here we heard how the area is being transformed with homes, shops, offices, galleries, bars, restaurants, schools and even a university.
In the evening students were invited to a networking event with Alumni and key industry contacts. Here students had the opportunity to hear about graduate life after university and network with surveyors and HR representatives from a wide variety of real estate companies.
