Appreciative Inquiry Masterclass

Date: Monday 06 July 2015
Time: 02.00 PM
Venue: Room 7516, Stoddart Building

This academic seminar/workshop brings together three researchers who have developed expertise in organisation development (OD) and community / social enterprise (SE) using an approach called Appreciative Inquiry (AI). In all cases, the speakers’ experience of challenging research environments resulted in advances in AI based on critical appreciative processes. Each speaker will present an example of research that engaged with the issues, challenges and benefits of developing a more critical approach to AI.

Sheffield Hallam University produces ‘internationally excellent’ and ‘world leading’ research in the field of Business and Management (REF 2014). A key contribution to Business and Management research is made by special interest groups (SIGs) within Sheffield Business School who create knowledge about ‘ethical organisations’ (led by Prof Gareth Morgan). The Sustainable and Responsible Business SIG, and the Co operative and Social Enterprise Management SIG have organised this event in conjunction with the Organisation Development Hub.
