UFHRD Workshop - The Role of Universities in Leadership Education

Date: Friday 13 October 2017
Time: 08.15 AM
Venue: Sheffield Business School

Event Date: Friday 13th October; Venue: Sheffield Business School; Time: 9.15am - 3.30pm

In a world in which organisations have competing priorities, universities have a key role to play in developing self-aware future leaders with a dynamic range of people development skills including those related to leader as coach.  This workshop identifies some of the challenges presented to leaders within Higher Education before examining current research on leadership identity and the impact of trust. Positive psychology in relation to coaching in the workplace is then introduced and discussed as a way to help us make sense of our leadership identity and how this might impact upon our practice as both educators and leaders.
