Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes English language entry requirements
The entry requirements for our Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes courses are based on your most recent Secure English Language Test (SELT) scores and the English language requirements for the degree course you plan to study at Sheffield Hallam University.
Examples of SELTs accepted by Sheffield Hallam University are IELTS for UKVI and Pearson PTE Academic UKVI. These are the only qualifications that can be used in applications for a Student Visa to study a Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes courses at Sheffield Hallam University.

We offer a range of start dates for our Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes courses. Your start date depends on the English language requirements for your degree and your current Secure English Language Test (SELT) score.
