Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson

Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson has clinched 11 Paralympic gold medals and is hailed as one of Britain's most influential sports personalities.
She has performed at world-class level for 16 years, winning a total of 16 Paralympic medals in wheelchair racing, six gold medals in the London Marathon and setting a string of British and World Records.
Tanni, from Cardiff, was born with spina bifida and has been an ambassador for disabled athletes throughout her distinguished career. She speaks publicly on diversity issues and is actively backing Britain's 2008 Paralympic campaign.
Three times the Welsh Sports Personality of the Year, Tanni has made numerous radio and television appearances and juggles her training with writing, broadcasting and looking after daughter Carys.
Tanni was made a Dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours List for 2005.
