Ian Sharratt

Honorary Doctorate - 2003

Ian, an award winning architect, has had a distinguished career which began in 1976 when he joined the practice of Michael Hopkins and Partners.

Due to his vision and expertise he went on to become a partner in 1981. During this time he worked on innovative and inspirational projects including the Inland Revenue Centre in Nottingham and the William Younger/Dynamic Earth Exhibition Centre in Edinburgh.

In 1996 Pringle Richards Sharratt Architects was founded and were recently commissioned to design prominent civic buildings and recreation spaces as part of the redevelopment of Sheffield city centre. This has included the multi award-winning Peace Gardens, Millennium Galleries and the iconic Winter Gardens.
