Sir Digby Jones

Sir Digby Jones is Director General of the Confederation of British Industry and the UK's 'voice of business'. During his career he has championed wealth and job creation in the UK and beyond and is advisor to companies across the globe, taking their views back to those who make the rules.
He is involved in a number of national and international organisations, including the Advisory Board of the Commonwealth Education Fund, the Commission for Racial Equality, the National Learning and Skills Council and the Skills Alliance.
Sir Digby is a vice-president of UNICEF, a vice-president of Birmingham Hospice, Chair of Cancer Research UK Ambassadors, and is a patron of many other charities. He has personally raised over £400,000 for charity by taking part in events including a bicycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End. In 2005 he successfully completed the London Marathon.
He was appointed a Knight Bachelor in the 2005 New Years Honours List.
