Danielle is Project Manager of the Sheffield City Region Future Leaders’ Programme.
While Sheffield has a higher than average percentage of graduates choosing to gain employment and stay in the city, the retention rate within the first two years when moving into new roles, is significantly lower compared to other northern cities and national benchmarks.
In support of the Sheffield City Region (SCR) Inclusive Growth Strategy, the project aims to further understand the specific challenges and barriers within the SCR business community in relation to short and medium-term graduate retention, with the proposed output being the co-creation of a distinct ‘Future Leaders’ post graduate level programme that will support long-term leadership development, talent retention and business growth.
Prior to working in this role, Danielle worked in the Employer Partnerships Team and was aligned to the College of Social Sciences and Arts. This included covering all aspects of graduate recruitment and internships, the advertising of roles, and building relationships with employers and organising events such as careers fairs.
