Francesca is the Degree Apprenticeships Advisor for the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences, leading apprenticeship development across four academic departments: Allied Health Professions, Biosciences and Chemistry, Nursing and Midwifery, and Social Work, Social Care and Community Studies.
The three key areas of Francesca’s work are business development, supporting academic development, and scoping out and implementing the operational requirements of apprenticeships in the college.
The role has involved supporting several apprenticeship trailblazers throughout their development processes, including sonography, therapeutic and diagnostic radiography, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy, giving insight into the national conversations and implications of degree apprenticeships in the health and care sector.
Francesca previously worked in the Directorate of Education and Employer Partnerships, establishing the funding and compliance processes for apprenticeships.
This role involved advising colleagues, external stakeholders and trailblazer groups throughout the development, implementation and delivery of apprenticeships.
