James is External Projects Assistant within the University's Venture Matrix team, supporting students to develop their employability skills through work-related learning opportunities with private, public and third sector organisations.
About
James is one of the University's Green Champions, helping Sheffield Hallam towards reducing its environmental impact and supporting the organisation towards becoming a leading sustainable university.
In 2017, James became Green Champion of the Year, for support and work towards a Commute for Change travel initiative.
James studied at undergraduate level at Sheffield Hallam University, undertaking a course in Business and ICT. After being impressed with the work that the Venture Matrix team undertook in the University to support students, he successfully applied to do a placement year with the Venture Matrix team.
Following graduation, James undertook an internship with the team, which led to securing a full-time role supporting students at all levels across Sheffield Hallam.
James has a keen interest in technology, especially around interactive and immersive 360 degree experiences within education, and is currently completing a postgraduate degree course in Digital Media Management, pursuing more knowledge and understanding within this field.
