Working with employers both in the UK and globally, Rachael's role is to fully engage and establish a collaborative relationship between employers and Sheffield Hallam University.
Aligned to the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences, Rachael supports employability for students by advertising graduate roles, and creating and running the Sheffield Hallam Internship schemes. She organises and runs the Hallam Careers Fairs and employer events on site. She also works to support academic links with industry for guest lectures and skills sessions.
Graduating with a BA (Hons) in Communication Processes, Rachael worked for fourteen years in education recruitment, moving from consultant to regional manager.
Working for four years with both Leeds and Sheffield local authorities within the Lifelong Learning and Skills department, her role was to create, develop and support learning and skills plans for regeneration contacts across both cities.
Since joining the University in 2017, Rachael has worked to develop key relationships with employers both locally and nationally to support the employability of students and graduates.
Rachael’s areas of interest are graduate and student recruitment.
