Catherine Basilio

Senior Lecturer in Architecture

Cath Basilio has worked as a professional architect in a large multi-disciplinary public sector practice for more than 25 years. Her collaborative approach and community involvement have been recognised with many awards from professional, trade and heritage organisations.

Cath brings a wealth of practical experience to the modules that she leads and teaches on. She has experience of many building types and especially educational design which allow her to support particular themes in the teaching portfolio.

In recent years she has helped develop designs for green roofs and exploited their use on schools; the Norfolk Community Primary School and Sharrow School being exemplars of this work.

Cath has presented external talks, published conference papers, and been interviewed on radio, television and film about her work and research primarily related to green roof implementation and sustainable construction.
