The Guardian, Sight & Sound, The Times, Hollywood Reporter, etc.

"Smartly marketed to an audience that likes its comedy stiletto sharp, martini dry and a little bloody… "One for the Road" is entirely politically incorrect in its affection for its group of drunks, but it's totally clear-eyed in respect to the self-delusion their indulgence breeds. Cooke doesn't preach, but he does make you laugh." Hollywood Reporter

"Cracking comedy … Those of us who pine for British movies with the wit and literate style of our best TV comedies can watch this and take heart." The Guardian

"One for the Road captures its protagonists' queasy sway from bar-room camaraderie to unfocused aggression. And it's funny… One of the great things about this stagger through the male psyche is its unpredictability." Film Of The Month, Sight & Sound

"An innovative black comedy, the film pushes the boundaries of digital video technology" British Council

"A fine debut, full of nuance and character." Digital Fix
