Since 1989 I have been a Senior Lecturer in Computing Mathematics at Sheffield Hallam University.
I have been awarded a BA in mathematics in 1970, and a DPhil for work on finite permutation groups in 1976. From 1976 to 1980 I worked in the University of Sheffield on techniques for improving the efficiency of computer-based information systems. I then worked in the computer industry on the development of interactive graphics systems.
My current research interests include 3D computer vision, pattern recognition, and formal methods of software development. I am within the Geometric Modelling and Pattern Recognition Research Group (GMPR).
