Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology with teaching responsibilities across the undergraduate provision, the Masters programme and with the City University of Hong Kong.

  • About

I was awarded a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham (UK) in 2010. This work explored the rejection of previously accepted food during early childhood. I have worked at Birmingham , Bristol, Derby and Aberdeen Universities and I joined Sheffield Hallam University in April 2016. My current position is Senior Lecturer in Developmental Psychology where I teach across the undergraduate provision, as well as on the Masters programme and as a collaborative module leader  as part of our partnership with the City University of Hong Kong. My main research interests include weight control, diet, taste exposure, food/portion selection and environmental influences of meal size during adulthood. I am also interested in the effects of exposure to tastes  in utero and the long term effects of increased exposure to fruit and vegetables during early infancy.
